Frequently Asked Questions

It's simple. Start by placing a fully refundable $100 deposit to reserve your spot in line. When your Pod is ready, you can either bring us a compatible Ram ProMaster or work with our team to source one. We'll schedule your installation at our Denver, Colorado headquarters, where the Pod is professionally installed in about an hour. Before you head out, we'll walk you through all of the Pod's features, answer any questions, and make sure you're comfortable using everything before you hit the road.

All installs are currently handled by the Native Campervans team out of Denver, CO. That said, The Pod is designed to be straightforward enough that a full self-install guide will be available for those who prefer the hands-on route. We're also actively building out a network of certified installers across the country, so more locations are on the way.

About an hour. A basic set of hand tools is all you need, no specialty equipment, no contractor required.
-
Not at all. The Pod requires zero permanent modifications to your vehicle. No drilling into the exterior, no alterations to the body, nothing that touches the outside of the van. When it comes out, your van looks exactly the same as the day it went in.
-
The Pod uses the factory anchor points and bolts already built into your vehicle, paired with side and ceiling dampeners that keep everything locked in tight. Take it down a washboard road and dare it to rattle. It won't.
-
Just as easy as putting it in. The Pod comes out cleanly and completely, leaving no trace behind. No tools you wouldn't already have in the garage, and no surprises.
-
The Pod is designed specifically for the Ram ProMaster 159" wheelbase, model years 2014 to present. Ram has kept the ProMaster's interior dimensions remarkably consistent over the years, so the fit holds across different roof heights and configurations with built-in give. If Ram updates the platform down the road, we'll be the first to let you know and will work to keep compatibility options available.
-
Yes, for an upgrade the van comes with Thinsulate insulation, the same material found in high-performance outdoor gear, keeping things comfortable without adding bulk.
-
[To finalize: weight figure here.] Light enough to load and unload without a second pair of hands, and well within the ProMaster's payload capacity.
-
Absolutely. The Pod is built with flexibility in mind. Add a built-in heater, upgrade ventilation, wire in shore power, or swap in an AC unit. It grows with however you like to adventure.
